This is our complete Training Schedule for May through August 2020.  There are no classes which will be held during this period of time, other than what appear on this Schedule.

NOTE: Individual classes with CCT (Core Competencies Training) or PST (Population Specific Training) hour values listed, mean that these classes count towards the required 75 hour LTC (Long Term Care) Worker Training. WAC 388-112A-0590 states that Nurse Delegation Core Training, and Nurse Delegation; Special Focus on Diabetes Training - if taken on or after 11-24-17 - count towards the 75 hours of LTC Care Worker Training.

HAVE BEEN CANCELLED.

Due to current Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) concerns, all of our Scheduled Classes have been cancelled. See the notices below where we have indicated cancelled classes in bright yellow.

As of now, we will be considering being able to offer some "Zoom" classes, which we have been given permission to do by DSHS/ALTSA.

We cannot offer in-person Training again, until DSHS/ALTSA says we can. We can also not offer "online Training", as other Training Organizations already do, as DSHS/ALTSA will not consider any "new" applications for offering online training "until further notice".

Please check back to our webpage, for notices of any future classes that we may be able to offer!

ALSO, be aware that DSHS/ALTSA has decreed these "temporary changes" in current Training and Certification Requirements (as of 03-24-20):
Training Requirements Suspended
The requirement that long-term care workers complete basic training, population specific trainings, and specialty trainings within 120 days of being hired or first being authorized to provide services is temporarily suspended.

Until further notice, long-term care workers may continue providing services without completing previously required basic, population specific, and specialty trainings.

The requirement that long-term care workers complete yearly continuing education is temporarily suspended. Until further notice, long-term care workers may continue providing services without completing previously required continuing education hours/credits.

Certification Requirements Suspended
The requirement that a person hired as a long-term care worker must be certified as a home care aide within 200 calendar days of the date of being hired is temporarily suspended. The requirement that a person hired as a long-term care worker must be annually re-certified as a home care aide is also temporarily suspended.
The highest priority of the department is the safety and well being of the clients we serve. In order to serve them well, we must maintain a viable long-term care workforce. DSHS offers the following guidance:

• In-person Training: DSHS does not recommend any in-person long-term care worker training and will not approve any in-person training until further notice.
• Online Training: DSHS will not approve any training in mediums which have not been previously approved.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause to anyone, but DSHS/ALTSA, as well as QAC, LLC are concerned with any possibility of contributing to the spread of Coronavirus Disease in the Assisted Living Community, or in the Community in general.
